Building an iPhone site

Before I get my first Mac, I think what I can do with iPhone now is to build an iPhone supported site (instead of building an iPhone application). Although I am not going to be rich for building a iPhone site, it is good to know how to do so as building web sites on mobile device is a very different and new battle for most of us who still survive in the web industry.
